COVID- 19, Influenza, RSV precautions

FOR ALL APPOINTMENTS in the BALLARD Office:

• Face masks are currently optional in for parents. If you have any reason to suspect you have been recently exposed to illness, please volunteer to wear a provided face mask.

• HEPA Filtration and appropriate ventilation.

• Patients with acute respiratory symptoms and/or fever are offered telehealth appointments only: no sick patients in the office. If a patient or immediate family member becomes ill shortly after the appointment, Tessa would like to be notified.

• If Tessa or her immediate family has any acute symptoms, she may request to change the appointment to telehealth or reschedule/cancel at no charge to you. This is to keep your baby safe.

• Tessa is current on all vaccinations, including COVID, Flu, and Measles.

GENERAL CLEANING PROCEDURES that happen for all appointments:

• All hard surfaces, including the baby scale, will be sanitized.

• All baby bottles and other tools are washed and sterilized.

• All breastmilk touching tools are washed and sterilized.

• All positioning pillows and baby prop covers will be changed.

• All baby blankets and towels are washed.

• Tessa will always wash her hands or use an alcohol-based gel frequently throughout your appointment.

• Tessa will always wear nitrile gloves when examining your baby’s mouth.
